The High Window Resident Artist: Angela Smyth: Spring 2017

Readers of The High Window # 4  may already be aware of our new ‘Resident Artist’ feature. In the four issues planned for 2017 we will be highlighting artwork by Angela Smyth, in which will be responding visually to some of the poems she reads in each issue of the journal.

We hope that you will be as impressed as we are with Angela’s images and agree with us that they have the autonomy of free-standing works of art. However, she has been keen from the start to respond to a selection of poems from each issue. We hope, therefore, that our readers will return to the poems that have particularly inspired her.

Angela has an international reputation for her work across a range of media, but specialises in fine art and illustration.   Angela’s website: http://www.angelasmythart.co.uk/ is currently being repainted. However, you can see more of her work on  Facebook  & Instagram
